THE LIGHT YEARS ADVANTAGE
HEALTH, SAFETY AND SECURITY
Safety and security are our utmost concern. Classroom access controls are in place, safety checks are completed daily, the center environment is all child-friendly and baby proofed. Our school is disinfected monthly with a net-zero sanitizer fogger as well as COVID Sprayed to decrease the germs that cause infections.
CURRICULUM
We use FROG STREET curriculum as a teaching stragety. It is a comprehensive, dual-language program designed to meet the needs of diverse learners, while supporting 10 learning domains. Our program enhancements keep children engaged and promote a lifetime love of learning.
NUTRITIOUS MEALS
Light Years participates in the USDA Child and Adult Care Food Program. Our nutritious and balanced meals and snacks are prepared in-house daily.
REPORTING AND COMMUNICATION
Our teachers utilize Brightwheel daily, which allows us to keep parents and guardians up to date with photos, videos, messaging, and more.
EXPERIENCED TEACHERS AND WELL TRAINED STAFF
We hire professionals with a love for learning. All teachers meet VDOE/DSS qualifications, have background checks, CPR and First Aid certified, and approved food handler certifications.

Normal hours are weekly Monday – Friday: 6:30 AM – 5:30 PM

Your tuition includes:
- Sheets, Blankets, Burp Cloths, Bibs
- Baby Rice/Oatmeal, Baby Puree, Puffs, Baby Fruit & Vegetables
- Homemade Table Food
- Whole Milk & 1% Milk, Lactose Free Whole Milk
- Snacks
The infant routines are individualized. You let us know what routine you want your baby on and we will follow that schedule.
The Toddlers and Tikes are on a generalized routine…eating, napping, outside play and learning all together at the same time.
The Preschool and Pre-K have generalized routine…eating, napping, outside play and learning all together at the same time
We have a set cut-off time for morning drop off of 9:00 a.m. This helps ensure the children get the most of their day.
We use frog Street Curriculum.

Each location has its own playground for the children to safely enjoy outside time.
